The Starter (or Boiler Module) is the IRSAP NOW system element that allows you to manage your heat generator (boiler or heat pump) by regulating the number of start-ups/shutdowns and modulating the power. Checking the boiler is important as it can increase efficiency and reduce consumption.
The Starter can be connected to the heat generator via:
- dry contact TA;
- analog output 0-10V ;
- OpenTherm communication protocol (activation 2023).
The 0-10V analog output and the OpenTherm communication interface are alternatives and are usually a prerogative of the latest generation of boilers.
The Starter is also equipped with an ON/OFF switch that allows the boiler to be switched on in the event of an Internet connection failure.
You can check your boiler's adaptability to power modulation in the boiler's instruction manual.
